Memo

The no-nonsense local website checklist (Palm Harbor edition)

A practical checklist for Pinellas and Pasco business owners who want a website that generates leads.

Use this checklist before you redesign — or before you hire anyone.

Must-haves

  1. Clear offer above the fold — what you do + who it is for
  2. One primary CTA — Call / Book / Get a quote
  3. Mobile speed — under ~3 seconds on mid-range phones
  4. Service pages — not just a homepage paragraph
  5. Town mentions that are true — Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, etc., where you actually serve
  6. Proof — reviews, before/after, team, licenses
  7. Contact that works — click-to-call, short form, or booking
  8. Tracking — at least basic analytics + conversion events

Nice-to-haves (after the basics)

  • Blog/memo content for AEO
  • Online booking
  • Chat widget (only if you answer it)
  • Multilingual pages if your market needs them

Red flags on agency proposals

  • 12-week “discovery” before design
  • No ownership of your domain/hosting
  • SEO promises without a content plan
  • Template farms with stock photos of another city
