Memo
The no-nonsense local website checklist (Palm Harbor edition)
A practical checklist for Pinellas and Pasco business owners who want a website that generates leads.
Use this checklist before you redesign — or before you hire anyone.
Must-haves
- Clear offer above the fold — what you do + who it is for
- One primary CTA — Call / Book / Get a quote
- Mobile speed — under ~3 seconds on mid-range phones
- Service pages — not just a homepage paragraph
- Town mentions that are true — Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, etc., where you actually serve
- Proof — reviews, before/after, team, licenses
- Contact that works — click-to-call, short form, or booking
- Tracking — at least basic analytics + conversion events
Nice-to-haves (after the basics)
- Blog/memo content for AEO
- Online booking
- Chat widget (only if you answer it)
- Multilingual pages if your market needs them
Red flags on agency proposals
- 12-week “discovery” before design
- No ownership of your domain/hosting
- SEO promises without a content plan
- Template farms with stock photos of another city
